Capuchin Monkeys

Babby Farms on 18th Jul 2022

Capuchin monkeys are native to Central America and are named after the Capuchin monks in Europe who wore black caps that look similar to the coloring of these primates. Like all New World primates, Capuchin monkeys have prehensile tails that they can use like a fifth limb to climb from branch to branch in the treetops. Often considered the most intelligent of the monkeys in Central and South America, these primates seem to be able to do just about everything except talk! They were even found to understand a basic monetary system using tokens to purchase food during one study several decades ago, and it only took them a few months!
